Dispensing medication: The nurse may not administer any medication without the written prescription from the doctor. If it is necessary for your child to receive medication during the school day, you must follow the below procedures:

l Complete the necessary form which is available in the nurse's office.

l Label medication with your child's name and the physician's name.

l Bring your child's medicine to the school nurse in its original container or a container supplied by the pharmacist. STUDENTS MAY NOT CARRY ANY MEDICINE (EVEN ASPIRIN) IN SCHOOL. Students found with medicine or drugs are in serious violation of school rules and the State Education Law.
