Great Web sites For kids and families

The American Library Association has great sites for families, including recommended reading lists and award winning books.

Book Nuts Reading Club: This site will introduce you to new book titles and let you write about your own favorites. There are links to other book Web sites as well.

The Discovery Channel: This site has kid-friendly pages for kids, homework help, games, clipart, and even good television programming suggestions.

Kids' Page

Lifelines: This is a Web site with homework resources selected for parents to help students in grades K-12. The site is divided into two sections: one for K-4 subject areas and the other for
5-12 subject areas.

National Geographic: This is a great resource for information on science, animals, history, and  much more! You will find interesting information on a wide variety of topics on this site.

Scholastic offers a free Web site that is useful for students, parents, and teachers. Click on Teacher, Kids and/or Parents tabs for information that is both fun and educational.

Thrall Library: If you have a library card for the Ramapo Catskill Library System, you can search for, and reserve a book, search the data bases, access newspapers, and much more!
