A+ Math–This Web site was developed to help students improve their math skills interactively.  Students can test their math skills with flashcards, try a puzzle, get help with their homework, and try an interactive math activity (K-12).

A+ Math Worksheets-Math worksheets covering a variety of topics (K-8).

Basic Facts Worksheet Factory-Need just the facts? The free Basic Facts Worksheet Factory can generate worksheets that will provide students with the practice they need to become proficient in basic math operations. Click on “Get It” on the right side of the screen to download a FREE copy of the software.

Brainchild-This site offers Web-based assessment and multimedia instruction each of your state standards. Click on "Choose your state." Under New York there are lists of assessments for grades 3-12 for math and reading.

Cool Math for Kids-An amusement park of interactive math activities (Pre-K-12).

Cool Math Sites–This site lists resources available online related to math instruction.  There are java math games; activities; puzzles; problems; and brainteasers (3-12).

Count On-Math resources and activities to engage students in math education.  Web site highlights: there is a section called numberland where you can click on a number from the virtual magic square and get information on that number; a resources section for educators and students; and an explorer section where you can try a variety of online activities (5-12).  

Count Us In-Interactive math activities designed to help kids learn basic math concepts (Pre-K-2).

Create a Graph-Sponsored by the NCES this site allows you to create a graph online (1-12).

Dry Hollow Math Activities–This Web site has a list of math links that students can use to reinforce math concepts (K-5).

Educational Math Java-The purpose of this site is to provide Java™ Applets that can be used as tools to help and enhance the education of children through the use of technology.  Learning can be significantly enhanced when students can be actively engaged in the learning process through discovery and exploration. These interactive activities are designed to challenge and motivate students.  Topics covered include: money; time; fractions; decimals; and more. 

Figure This-This site offers math challenges that middle-school students can do at home with their families.  Each problem has a description of the important math involved; a note on where the math is used in the real world; a hint to get started; complete solutions, a "Try This" section; additional related problems with answers; questions to think about; fun facts related to the math; and resources for further exploration.

Fraction Bars Applet-This is an interactive applet designed to create fraction bars. This can be used to explore equivalent fractions, decimals, and percents.

Getsmarter.org-Getsmarter.org is an animated, interactive, testing and learning site like no other.  Compare your math and science skills against kids from all over the world and access learning tools and links to help you get smarter (Grades 2-12).

Graphic Organizers for Math-The math graphic organizers on this site are valuable for teaching your students how to represent problem situations in diagrammatic form (schematic diagrams that address identifying and representing structures or type of word problems) and how to determine the necessary operation(s) needed to find a solution in a problem. Houghton Mifflin Kids’ Place Math-Online activities including: Brain Teasers; Test Prep;

and tips on becoming a better test taker.

Illuminations-The NCTM Illuminations Web site is designed to illuminate the new vision for school mathematics as presented in NCTM's Principles and Standards for School Mathematics. This is an excellent resource that provides teachers and students with resources that will help to improve teaching and learning in mathematics (K-12).

Manipula Math–Middle and High School-Manipula Math is a site that features interactive programs that you can manipulate, and animations that help you to grasp the meaning of mathematical ideas. 

Math Cats-This site has many interactive applets that will invite children into playful explorations of important math concepts.  Make sure you go to MathCats explore! and Microworlds (this has online interactive math activities) K-8.

Math Counts!-MATHCOUNTS® is a national math enrichment, coaching and competition program that promotes middle school mathematics achievement through grassroots involvement in every U.S. state and territory. Web site highlight: Updated every Monday morning, there is a problem of the week that promotes math achievement at the middle level. The problem of the week covers a variety of topics, and is always related to a current newsworthy event.

A Maths Dictionary-A Maths Dictionary is an animated, interactive dictionary for students which explains over 500 common mathematical terms using animated models that students will enjoy manipulating. 

Math Fact Cafe-This site offers an online Flashcard Generator, Fact Sheet builder, and Pre-Made Fact sheets. The worksheets can be printed or used online (Grades 1-5). 

Math Forum: Drexel University-The Math Forum is a leading center for mathematics and mathematics education on the Internet. Operating under Drexel's School of Education, the goal of the Math Forum is to provide resources; materials; activities; educational products; and services that enrich and support teaching and learning in an increasingly technological world.  This site offers samples of model interactive projects, Web resources for math, and high quality math education content.  There is a database where you can search for resources by grade and topic.  If you have trouble locating resources that fit your particular needs, try the Math Forum's Internet Mathematics Library and the Math Topics page.

Math Playground-Math Playground is an action packed site for students in grades K-6.

MathTools-A community library of technology tools, lessons, activities, and support materials for teaching and learning mathematics (K-12).

Mathematics Lessons-This site is a great resource for online tutorials related to many mathematics concepts. 

Mathworksite.com-Online math worksheet generator covering addition; subtraction; multiplication; division; mixed problems; fractions; measurement; graphing and telling time.

Moneyfactory-Online money activities that can be used to reinforce math concepts. Click on GO, then choose your desired age level (K-8).

Multiplication.com-This site contains the techniques, tips, and secrets used by master teachers to help students learn multiplication tables.  There are online activities, worksheets, lesson plans and strategies (3-5).

McGraw-Hill Math-ECSDM math textbook site.  Activities aligned with our textbook.  Make sure you click on “Other Programs,” choose McGraw-Hill Mathematics, and then click GO.  Find your textbook and grade level (K-5).

National Library of Virtual Mainpulatives-This site offers interactive mainpulatives for grades Pre-K-12.

NCES Student’s Classroom-The purpose of the National Center for Education Statistics' Student's Classroom is to provide information to help you learn about schools; decide on a college; find a public library; engage in several games, quizzes and skill building about math, probability, graphing, and mathematicians; and to help build these skills by writing for CRUNCH and perusing our glossary. Of course, all of these things have been designed to be fun too…so jump in!  Make sure to check out the Create a Graph section of the site.

NCTM Fraction Model Applet-This applet explores several models for representing fractions with adjustable numerators and denominators.

NCTM Illuminations – Marco Polo – Lesson Plans-Internet-Based Lesson Plans are examples of how the Internet can be used to help create effective standards-based mathematics lessons. Lessons are searchable by grade and standard.

No Matter what Shape Your Fractions Are In-The activities on this site are designed to cause students to think.  Students will explore geometric models of fractions and discover relations among them.

Plane Math-Use your math skills to solve problems related to air travel.  Each of the nine topics has a related activity and lesson plan. 

Practical Money Skills for Life-Visa provides a site that teachers, parents, and students will all enjoy using. There are lesson plans here for all ages, as well as information about spending decisions, budgeting, and money management. Print your own "money" (sorry, it's just play-money); take a quiz about spending; make a budget; or learn about buying a home. You can practice your money management with some very cool games! (Grades Pre-K-12) 

SAT Math Pro-SAT Math Pro contains over 125 video lessons designed to help students prepare for the math component of the SAT. This free program, created by a high school math teacher, features 20 interactive practice modules, timed quizzes, and lessons on test strategies.

Shodor Interactive Curriculum Materials-The Shodor Foundation is a non-profit research and education organization dedicated to the advancement of science and math education, specifically through the use of modeling and simulation technologies.  This Web site has numerous lesson plans that make use of Web-based software for simulation and interaction.  The curriculum materials on this website are searchable by grade level and subject matter. They have a “featured project” that is highlighted on the left side of the page. 

Superkidz.com- Superkidz.com is a Web site with interactive word problems dealing with money.  Students take a virtual shopping trip and get a chance to practice counting money (K-3).

Super Kids Math Worksheet Generator-Have you ever wondered where to find math worksheets? Make your own at SuperKids for free! Simply select the type of problem, the maximum and minimum numbers to be used in the problems, then click on the button! A worksheet will be created to your specifications, ready to be printed for use (K-6).

The United States Mint for Kids-H.I.P. Pocket Change is designed to be a fun, educational tool—for students and teachers—that generates interest in coins, the Mint, and U.S. history. There are educational activities and lessons to use in conjunction with this website.

Visual Fractions-Visual Fractions is an on-line tutorial that offers instruction and practice in identifying, renaming, and operating on fractions. All examples are modeled with number lines or circles.  There is a fraction maker where you can design and print your own visual fractions worksheets.  Included in this section of the site are several pre-made worksheets that you can use. 

Wordly Wise-Help your English language learners develop an understanding of math concepts with the Mathematics Glossary on this site. Grade-appropriate information illustrates each glossary term. Many of the terms in the earlier grades have real-world examples, and many of the terms at all grades have applets and/or animations to support student learning.
