Middletown Technology

The district is committed to using technology as a catalyst for the improvement of educational quality. While adhering to high standards of academic achievement, Middletown is preparing students to become life-long learners capable of competing in a global society upon graduation.

Middletown has created a technology-rich learning environment that enables students to acquire 21st century skills thanks to a state-of-the-art technology infrastructure and its resources. In turn, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) literacy skills foster students’ collaboration, creativity, innovative problem-solving and risk-taking skills.

The district has also implemented an extensive professional development program to train and support teachers by integrating technology into the curriculum.

• 27 computer labs district-wide
• Mobile laptop carts district-wide
• Remote access to district resources
• School Messenger: a parent notification system
• Wi-Fi available for students and faculty
• 357 IP video surveillance cameras

• Cisco Digital Phone System
• Tandberg High Definition Video Conferencing
• Library/Media Center computer labs
• High school College & Career Center computer lab
• High school AOIT and PLTW computer labs
• Content specific computer labs at the high school:
business, ELA, math, and science
• Three high school digital media computer labs
• Nine computer network drops, one interactive whiteboard, five student computers, one teacher computer, an amplification system, and wireless access to the Internet per class (grades K-8)
